Testimonials

A survey from families shows the reasons why St. Veronica School is a very special place for academic and spiritual growth. Here are some of our parent's comments:

 1.

SVS is catholic based. SVS is safe & secure. SVS has a wonderful community.

 2.

Good education, healthy environment, strong values & morals.

 3.

They are getting a strong education with values and accountability. The family atmosphere was important to us.

 4.

Because Christ is the center of everything that is taught at SVS. From the first day that we brought our daughter to Rainbow Patch we had an overwhelming feeling of family. We knew that this is where we want our children to learn the fundamental skills that will make them successful in life. I know that every adult in SVS treats each and every one of the 450+ students as if they were there own, and I know that they are in a safe environment.

 5.

I believe in the importance of the foundation of the Catholic faith. It is ingrained in their every day not just once a week at CCD. I think the children benefit from smaller class size and the Catholic schools seem to foster accountability, respect. They become part of them, not something they hear every now and again. Plus when I send my children to school I feel the school works with me not against me. I'm not up against some of the "socially" acceptable things a public school might teach.

 6.

SVS has given them a foundation for a life that can be filled with much happiness, by setting and being a great example, Far and above the rest!

 7.

I strongly believe in a Catholic education. Both my husband and I went to Catholic school and I wanted the same for my children. I believe that a child's future is based on having a strong faith. Each child learns differently and at a different level no matter what school they attend.

 8.

Good family values, small family type setting , teachers are very caring, my child feels safe.

 9.

So they can be in an environment where they can get the best education and also become upstanding adults where they are respectful, confident, and knowledgable for themselves and others around them.

 10.

I believe that our children in today's world need to be stong in their faith. They need to talk about, and "be allowed" to talk about God. I believe they are being taught to be more respectful towards others and are disciplined when they are not. I love that our children start and end their days in prayer and continuously are reinforced about Jesus in their lives on a daily basis.

 11.

We want them in a Catholic environment- and St. Veronica's is really a good place for them- Reverence, Respect and Responsibility is instilled every day- in some way, maybe even in a small way some days- but every day. Academics are important, of course, and we feel our children are learning and growing and being challenged appropriately. Just as a note, the school does a great job for Catholic Schools Week- our children have always looked forward to that week- fun and a sense of pride to be a Catholic School kid

 12.

I believe that St. Veronica School is not afraid to let God walk hand in hand with my son throughought his grammar school years. He learns from educators who teach from their heart and believe that each child in that classrom is their own. Both my wife and I graduated from St. Veronica's, and we are blessed to be able to send our son there.

 13.

I send my daughter to St. Veronica School because I want her to have God's teaching in everything she does. I also want her to be part of a loving and caring environment with strong academics.

 14.

We chose St. Veronica School for our children not only for the Catholic Education, but also for the strong sense of comfort that we feel here. We truly feel the the Holy Spirit lives in the Halls of St. Veronica School as well as in our Children. Although a strong Catholic Faith is taught and lived at home, it is a tremendous feeling knowing it is also taught and lived in all aspects of the School.

 15.

My children have a strong sense of community. Because of the smaller population, I believe stronger bonds are developed. In addition, they learn the importance of and are sensitive to social responsibility. They care about people and their communities as a result of repeated exposure to the plights of individuals and reaching out to help.

 16.

I wanted a Catholic school for my children so that they would receive reinforcement at school for moral values and they would be able to pray at school and learn about God. Also, I had heard some derogatory things about what happens in public school, when the children reach the "middle school", and I liked that my children could stay in one school for all of their grammar school years.

 17.

She receives a superior education in a nurturing environment that promotes learning and builds a strong foundation of catholic values. Our family's experience with SVS has been nothing but positive.

 18.

We never planned on sending our children to Catholic school, however, after going through Rainbow Patch and seeing the warm, family atmosphere at St Veronica's, I wouldn't have them anywhere else. If it weren't for the 3year old program, we never would have even been drawn to the open house in the first place... we never looked at St Al's in Jackson because they don't have a 3year old class. St Veronica's was so much nicer than other preschools we looked at, and now we're staying for the elementary grades as well. Neither my husband or I went to Catholic school, but we are very happy with SVS.

 19.

SVS supports values we have at home. We like the freedom to express Christainity at school to support home life.

 20.

The school has strong academics in a nurturing environment, based on our faith.

 21.

SVS has become apart of our lives. The children have grown up with each other in a family environment. We wanted to give our children a strong foundation of their catholic religion.

 22.

There is a structured environment, catholic values, the loving faculty and staff.

 23.

We believe in Saint Veronica School's God centered curriculum. And strongly believe in the their Mission statement.

 24.

I know he will get an all around education. It is important to us that our child learns about his faith as well as general academics. He gets all of that at St. Veronica's, and more.

 25.

WE WERE DRAWN TO THE RELIGIOUS ASPECT AND FOR THE LOVING ENVIRONMENT. THE CIRRICULUM IS VERY GOOD.

 26.

I send my children to St. Veronica School because I want them to receive a good Catholic, moral background. Hopefully they will make the right decisions in life based on what they learned morally in their elementary education.

 27.

Besides the very clean school, it is an environment that is warm, loving, and caring. When my child is in school, I know she is in a safe environment that cares about her. We love the fact that they know our daughter and they know us. We looked at another catholic school nearby for comparison before deciding on St. Veronica's and the other school was no comparison. At that school, the office staff were cold and seemingly uncaring. At St. Veronica's they are friendly, inviting, and caring. We know we made the right decision to send our daughter to St. Veronica's and continuously encourage others to send their children to this school.

 28.

We had both attended catholic school and were very satisfied with the results. We feel the school offers a closer community than the public school experience.

 29.

We love the christian morals and values that he is recieving; the love of Jesus is present in everyone everyday!!

 30.

Because I believe in an education founded in reverence, respect and responsibility.

 31.

We send our children to SVS because we want our children in a school that fosters and promotes not only academics but overall personal growth. We want our children to be involved with and surrounded by children and families of similar beliefs and attitudes.

 32.

The education and atmosphere at St. Veronica's are priceless.

 33.

Not only is the schooling important to me, but the community. I want our family to go to church where my child goes to school. We have found that community at SVS.

The Light That Shines So Bright

By: Carmella Holl

St. Veronica School Alumnus, Class of 2006

There is a place in our lives

Not too far from here

That shines with the light from the sun

A place we all hold dear

This place is St. Veronica’s

A home away from home

Where students and faculty come together as family

No one left alone

Everyone works together

In the classroom and in the halls

Getting through every situation

No matter how big or small

The faculty is wonderful

Each with a loving heart

Treating everyone as equals

All as one, none apart

St. Veronica’s is a safe place,

When dark, it is a light

Offering love, hope and guidance

It is a light that shines so bright
